Back yard

We are having wonderful weather here in Roanoke, so Benjamin decided to put together our outdoor equipment. I'm sure the weather will get cooler again, but Benjamin hasn't started lawn care yet so this was a perfect time to work outside! We decided to celebrate by eating dinner outside that night, and Alexander woke up just as we started eating. Needless to say we took turns eating and holding him!

Sitting up

Boy time sure is flying by! Its hard to believe that March is almost over with and that Easter is just around the corner! Alexander has started sitting up, and loves to be in Abigails Bumbo. We'll have to go get him one so he's not always sitting in a pink bumbo! This picture was taken 1-2 weeks ago, now Alexander can hold his head up without the bumbo behind him.
Last week I lucked out, some local moms have a consignment sale twice a year called back on the rack. They sell lightly used/ upscale clothing. Benjamin and I found a number of outfits for Alexander for this summer, fall, and next summer! We even found two bathing suits for the beach this summer. Now we just need a hat!

Long night!

Yes it had been a long night for all of us! This was back in the days when Alexander was eating every 2-3 hours at night! There were many nights where he wouldn't sleep anywhere but in our arms or curled up next to me! When all else failed and I was exhausted...yes I broke my rule and let him sleep with us!

Gingerbread man

First week home! We are wearing our Gingerbread man outfit and sitting with our gingerbread man. Benjamin and I love this picture, it looks like Alexander is going to eat him! I will try and update a picture of Alexander each week so you can see how he is growing!

Welcome!

Hi everyone-
I am terrible about getting pictures and updates sent out each month showing everything Alexander is doing, so my friend Anna suggested I start a blog. Alexander has been a joy to have in our house, but he keeps me busy! He loves to cuddle and to be held...another reason its tough to be on the computer all the time.

Things are finally settling down, Alexander is eating every 3-4 hours (finally) and is trying to sleep 4 hours at night in between feedings. Benjamin and I finally feel like we are getting some sleep at night. After two weekends with Benjamin and I taking turns getting the 24hour stomach flu, we are ready to get out and about in this warm weather. This past weekend was the first time we both felt ready to go out with Alexander and not worry about him getting sick from other people. Alexander LOVED it! He smiled at everyone and was really really good. I can finally get out and about! :) On Saturday we went to Sams Club, and then worked outside...well Benjamin worked outside, Alexander just wanted to be held in my arms outside. Then on Sunday we finally made it to church, had lunch with nanny (benjamin's mom) at Ruby Tuesday's, stopped by walmart for diapers, and again worked outside. I look forward to his week!
